International Tactical Training Seminars, Inc. (ITTS, Inc.), is a firearms and tactics school, teaching individuals how to safely and effectively use firearms since 1990.
Our mission is to provide the most comprehensive and effective tactical training based on real world experience in the law enforcement, military and civilian world. Whether you are a trained LEO seeking to brush-up your firearms skills, or a parent who wishes to be better prepared to protect your family, our courses will get you up to speed on how to safely and properly handle a firearm.
Founded in 1990 by Scott Reitz, a 30-year veteran of the LAPD, and Brett McQueen, an FBI-certified law enforcement instructor, ITTS provides the most straightforward training in the most compressed time possible. Everything we teach has been tested by those whose very survival depends on implementing the most effective techniques in a deadly force encounter.

I subbed just for Uncle Scotty.. these are great
Another bad thing about the clamshells were the way they flopped around if you were in a foot chase with a suspect. You either had to tolerate all that flapping or run with your hand on it. Top/front break holsters were probably the better holsters for field duty.
U. Scotty - What did you carry as your bachup weapon?
Has Scotty written a book? So many great stories!
These stories are gold. 😎💪👍
Could listen to him all day!😎💪👍
What a dick FTO lol
Imagine a flashbang 💥 going off on your head?😱 Dude probably had a hell of a headache and hearing damage , not to mention burns😂
Great stories
I think it’s ok.. but only during duck season
Amazing
Someone who really was running around with his hair of fire. Who would have thought it possible?
Need one for my mother in law
I can’t stop laughing! Awesome Story. 😳🤣😳🤣
I was lucky because I was right handed with my pistol and was naturally left handed with my fork.
It's called a Call Box in Newark, NJ. The same thing happened, all the guys have them hanging in their houses. 😆👮
How did you get the gun from the pool? 😆
That's some Marty Feldman shit!
In 1996 I did my academy 3 day ridealongs in Newton Div. My first day out I worked with Officer Rick Madrigal. Same thing...while I was writing in the log, every time he turned I'd look up at the street signs. The ONE time I didn't he suddenly stopped midblock and said he'd been shot. There I was, at night, running down the street in my academy issue leather oxfords, long sleeve shirt, and tie, with a flashlight up to the next corner to read the street signs. I realized he'd been watching me the whole time out of the corner of his eye to catch the time I didn't look up.
I remember getting hazed in my profession. I look back now and laugh.some of it was funny some of it embarrassing but overall it was a right of passage. Now that im at the peak of my profession i am forced to take sensitivity training. People can sue and win for getting their feelings hurt. 😂
Good for Jerry
Great story. I trained with the Stirling SMG as a senior army cadet in Canada. It was a lot of fun to shoot.
Pretty cool. Life is just strange sometimes.
Hey, lady, there's a policeman here with a shotgun!
In Houston the PPO's could not sit with the veteran officers during lunch. Try doing that today.
it may have been Police Commissioner ...Goldberg?
I queued this up while still working and barely looked at the full title. I thought it said Jerry Lee Lewis. After watching, and waiting to hear how the meetup with him went down and it turned out to be Jerry Lewis the comedian, it made it even better.
Shiny black hair is always suspicious. lol!
What a fun "martini story"
Another GREAT story thanks
These are much more creative ways of messing with a new guy. In the army it was much more juvenile as most sgts were no more than 21 years old and not very creative. Great story. Respect for old school policing.
It's duck season! It's wabbit season! Duck Season! Wabbit season! It's Elmer season!
Robbie Barkman? Of ROBAR? The gun finish guy?
Dude is a legend.
That's how it works!
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Pulling up in a Ferrari would get us a visit from the rat squad most ricky tick!!!
Funny that LAPD ditched their revolvers for 4506 after the NHSO. Sounds like cooper was correct
oh man.....i remember going to the kit room to get a CC unit. Central division LAPD 1988.
Talk about the when you switched from a revolver to a beretta! If you still have it that is
Love Uncle Scotty stories
Really enjoy these stories. Keep em coming.
Really enjoy these videos
poor fellow he just needed some time away from his wife 😅
Too Funny! Don’t ever stop. 🤣👍
What gets me is the attitude by so many, coppers included that "oh I work in a small town, that'll never happen here." Ya well, most OICs are now happening in these "it'll never happen here," places. In 2023, in a matter of a few weeks we had two officers KIA in the middle of BFE Wisconsin. Then not too long after that, a sheriff's deputy was also KIA. I worked in the city before going out the burbs, so far I've been luck. But a captain he also came from the "big city," but where did he get into his OIS, BFE Wisconsin. Point is, this can happen anywhere at any time! We can't drill that into recruits enough.
There are things that happened twenty eight years ago at the academy and on FTO that no way could any instructor get away with. These recruits would be curled up in a little ball sucking their thumbs. I actually put down on the weekly summation that this recruit "was so stupid, he doesn't belong here." I got called on the deck for that, telling me I couldn't say that. Why not I asked, he is stupid and he's going to get himself or worse, someone else killed. Well, I left it. He fortunately quit a few weeks later. Today, that would never fly.
Sounds like a captain I used to have. This guy was so anal that he spend the jurisdictions money on mag wheels for the speed trailer. Oh he'd spend hours polishing that and his collar brass. He was a real winner.
Sincere Appreciation for sharing your life experiences and wisdom. Thank you
Great story, I"m sure we all have some embarrassing moments on the job, just laugh it off !
